After graduating SHS almost 50 years ago (can you really believe that!?) I attended the University of Houston for 2 years & then was accepted at NLU School of Pharmacy where I finished my last 3 years. I worked full time for 32 years, 26 yeas as director of pharmacy services at West Cal-Cam Hospital. I met my husband, Billy, at Elizabeth Perry's house when we were sophomores in high school; he was a freshman in college. He finally decided that I wasn't going to go away, so proposed to me. He had 3 months left in graduate school when we married in 1965. Billy retired after teaching 25 years. In 1993 we bought a Hallmark shop & 3 years later expanded to a flower & gift shop. I retired from WCCH in 1995. We decided that retirement is definitely a "grandparent thing" & since we do not have children, no grandchildren. Billy works in the shop everyday & when I'm not doing pharmacy relief work I work for my real boss in the shop. We are still active in Henning United Methodist Church, some of our favorite activities being our construction & medical mission trips to Central America. I enjoy hiking & skiing in the Colorado Rockies when I have a chance. Life is good & we are truly blessed! Keep remembering the good times of the SHS class of '57. Shirley
