I spent my working life as an
ironworker all over the place—North
Dakota, New Orleans, and here in
Lake Charles and Sulphur. I have
worked in all the plants and spent my
last 10 years at WR Grace. I retired
five years ago. Well, not really retired.
I now have jobs at home fixing things
I have put off for years.

I married Sallie Doucet('58) and we
have a daughter named Jessica Spier.
She married Scott Spier of Sulphur.
They have a beautiful son, Davis, who
is 7 years old and in the second
grade, and a daughter, Chloe Grace,
who is 4 years old. Chloe is the image
of Jessica and so beautiful.

I’m looking forward to our 50th
reunion. It has been great getting
together with Pie and Joey’s
gatherings.
