Since High School, I married Don Schafer, and
was whisked off to PA, where I eventually
became Co-owner of Shafer Tools & The
Christmas Tree Farm.
After six miscarriages, I finally had a beautiful
baby girl, named Donna. Just when I thought
Donna would be an only child, along comes the
most handsome son: Shane. I was thrilled.
When I was at my "prime", baking cakes and
cookies of all descriptions was my speciality. I
baked cakes for all occasions. My family used
to wait for their boxes of cookies to arrive. I
loved to cook, sew, and make home
decorations, such as silk flowered wreathes,
wall hangings: etc.
My life has changed now. Shane still lives in PA,
but surprises me frequently with qick visits.
Shane is married. Donna lives in TN, near
Nashville. Since my divorce, I moved in Donna's
three bedroom house.
Although I am unable to do what I used to do, I
thank GOD for my children, my family, my
friends, and all the good things that life has
brought me.
