My name is Joyce LeJune Reed. I should have
graduated in fifty-seven, but I got married in 1955.
I married Merlin J. Reed from Iota, LA. We have
been married for fifty-one years. We are both
retired of course. Merlin worked at Firestone
synthetic plant for thirty-four years.
We raised four sons which are Mike, Mark,
James, and Damon. We also raised a foster
daughter Chrystal.
My oldest son Mike and youngest son Damon are
both handicapped. They live in assisted living
apartment here in Sulphur.
Mark married Sharon Alston and they had three
children. Celeste the oldest graduated from
McNeese and is now a registered nurse. Justin
the second oldest is attending McNeese majoring
in Engeneering. Ivan the youngest of the three
just graduated from high school and is also
attending McNeese in the fall.
James married Pam Dronette and they had two
children. Courtney the oldest is attending
McNeese to also become a registered nurse.
Raliegh the youngest is pursuing a career as an
electrician.
Chrystal married Eddie Tompkins and they had
two children. lauren will be six in September and
Matthew will be two in July. Chrystal is a school
teacher in Bossier City, LA.
Merlin and I remained in Sulphur all of our life.
We belong to Prompt Succor Catholic Church
were I meet up with a lot of my classmates.
