For the month of February 2008 we had the chance to spend time in
Death Valley; first with the twins (Samantha and Jocelyn)and
then just the two of us to celebrate our 46th anniversary (17th of
Feb). The twins could go with us because Mommy was in Baja on a
marine biology trip. So with field study projects for the twins, their
bikes, and lots of food we left on the 31st  of January for the drive to
Stovepipe Wells Death Valley National Park. We spent a day and
night there and then headed to Furnace Creek to take in the tourist
sites. Later we moved to Mesquite Springs campground so that we
could visit Scotty's Castle and  had hoped to visit the Racetrack. (cold
and wind made that impossible)
Links will take you directly to the various sites and to the new
panorama photos that I have put together.
We returned the girls to La Canada on Friday the 8th  to greet
Mommy at 10:30 PM from Baja.
After a day or so we decided we needed more time in Death Valley so on
Tuesday the 12th we headed back to the Park. This time we took OUR
bikes and planned to get in some good riding.
